Residents have thoroughly embraced the spirit of St. George’s Day. They enjoyed a fun game themed around slaying dragons, fostering camaraderie and laughter. The quiz added an educational twist, revealing fascinating facts about our beloved Patron Saint.

Coral’s baby chicks

Coral has recently welcomed some baby chicks into her family. On Saturday, she brought them into Croft for a visit. The residents spent time holding and stroking them which brought lots of happy smiles. Bringing chicks into a care home setting is one of the most effective ways to spark joy and light up a room. It is a multi sensory experience that combines the soft tactile sensation of the downy feathers with the gentle rhythmic cheep cheep sounds that can be very soothing.

Hairdresser visits

Our in house hairdresser, came into our home to do some trims and blow-dries. The residents, especially the ladies, enjoy these weekly visits as it makes them feel beautiful. They also enjoy to have a good old chat at the same time. This is a lovely relaxing time for the residents. There is no better feeling that getting a spruce up.
